Proposed legislation is introduced in one of the two chambers, usually by a minister in the House of Commons
Once the bill is introduced, it is subject to review, debate, examination and amendment before it can receive final approval
Before the bill can become a law, it needs to receive royal assent and be adopted by both houses.
